About
Biography
Franco-Vietnamese artist, born in Vinh Long, Vietnam,
has been drawing since she could hold a pencil and painting since the age of 7.
Self-taught, having participated in numerous workshops and courses for more than 50 years, she has participated in numerous personal or group exhibitions in France and Vietnam.
She never stopped exploring and improving the different pictorial riches made available to her.
The thirst to discover all the possibilities, always…
Drawing, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, oil, mixed media …
Pencils, brushes, knives….
Returning to France after an expatriation in her native country, she resettled in her workshop.
Whether it is the markets or the landscapes of Vietnam, Brittany or elsewhere.
During her travels, or still lifes, she reveals to us in turn her universe through her figurative, expressionist or abstract canvases.
Artistic approach
In the heart of the workshop bathed in a musical atmosphere, everything begins with a preliminary sketch or directly on the canvas,
applying the principles of the old masters.
I create my colored palette, warm or cold, it depends, from three primaries and white and deposit these colors, layer after layer, in strata:
emotion can then take its part, following work on the drawing, composition, the underlying structure chosen, the dialogue of forms, rhythms, depth, values, contrasts, so that the viewer’s eye circulates throughout the canvas.
Finally, the pose of the light, which is the tiny part of a painting.
The thirst to discover, to accomplish then to share but in different forms, are always present in my universe.
